Syracuse OL coach leaving program

Syracuse offensive line coach Pat Perles has decided to leave the program for another coaching opportunity, a school spokesperson told Syracuse.com this week.

Perles is the second Orange assistant to leave head coach Scott Shafer’s staff this week, along with wide receivers coach Rob Moore, who left to coach receivers for the Buffalo Bills.

No word yet on where Perles, the son of longtime Michigan State coach George Perles, will end up, but he has experience at both the college and professional levels, his most recent being as assistant offensive line coach with the Kansas City Chiefs. He has also coached at North Dakota State, Michigan State, the Los Angeles Rams and Toledo.

Per CoachingSearch.com, Elmhurst College head coach Joe Adam will replace Perle as the Syracuse O-line coach.
