TCU’s leading receiver reportedly popped on pot charge

Following a spate of arrests involving players — and a coach — connected to SEC programs, it’s a Big 12 team’s turn to deal with an off-field issue involving one of its playing members.

Citing a Fort Worth police department report, TCU360.com is reporting that TCU wide receiver LaDarius Brown was arrested following a traffic stop Sunday night.  Following the stop, Brown was charged with marijuana possession after officers discovered two ounces of weed in Brown’s vehicle.

To add insult to injury, Brown’s vehicle in which the weed was found was seized by the police.

The school has yet to comment on Brown’s legal predicament.

As a redshirt sophomore in 2013, Brown was tied for the team lead in receptions with 36 and was third in receiving yards with 393.  Over the past two seasons, Brown has started 18 of the 25 games in which he’s played.

    @8to80texansblog:

    Now you know there’s silence when it involves another conference. Packerbadger, ohioguy, rabbi, derekgorgonstar, just to name a few… all the trolls are silent unless the SEC is involved….
