Lawsuit against Nick Saban’s daughter thrown out

A lawsuit filed against Alabama head coach Nick Saban’s daughter has been dismissed by a Tuscaloosa County judge.

The honorable James H. Roberts ruled on Wednesday that Kristen Saban’s physical confrontation with sorority sister Sarah Grimes back in 2010 was justified.

Grimes had claimed that Saban injured her during the tussle. She was seeking financial redress for her injuries. But the judge said that evidence indicated that Grimes initiated the fight and that Saban had the right to defend herself under Alabama’s “stand your ground” law.

Saban’s lawyer said that the family refused to pay “hush money” to avoid bad publicity over the incident.
