Trick shot season underway as ECU kicker boots blindfolded 50-yard field goal

Few things help fill the void of college football’s offseason like the growing trend of trick shot videos put together by college football players. East Carolina kicker Davis Plowman is the latest to share his skills with the Internet.

Plowman is seen kicking what is claimed to be a 50-yard field goal while having his shirt pulled over his head. To add a little sizzle to the stunt, the snapper sends the football to a third person, who spins it to the ground awaiting Plowman’s attempted kick. With the shirt pulled over his head and nobody holding the football still as it spins on the ground, Plowman delivers the field goal straight through the uprights on a practice field located outside of Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.

Plowman was East Carolina’s back-up kicker last season, appearing in three games. He attempted just one field goal all season, converting one against Tulsa. He originally played for Texas A&M before transferring to EastCarolina.

Helmet sticker to FTW.

If only ECU had a good kicker last year against Tulane.

They didn’t include video of the 19 other failed attempts.
