Larry Coker adds familiar face to UTSA staff

Marquis Mosely

In completing his current UT-San Antonio coaching staff, Larry Coker looked to the past to fill the lone hole with the Road Runners.  Reportedly.

While the school has not yet confirmed it, multiple media outlets are reporting that Coker has hired Marquis Mosely as his new wide receivers coach.  The San Antonio Express-News writes that the move is “pending administrative approval.”

Mosley would replace Tony Jeffery, who left last month for a job at Houston.

Mosley has spent time on staffs at Army, Northern Illinois and Miami (Fla.) during a coaching career that extends back into the early part of last decade.  He spent one year (2006) as an assistant under Coker with the Hurricanes.

Coker has done a heck of a job with the Roadrunners. Exciting team that has been pretty successful.

And, they are playing some pretty good teams. I will be in Stillwater when they play Oklahoma State this fall.

Hate to go to Oklahoma, but this might be one good road trip.
