2014 Badger recruit charged with sexual assault

Gary Andersen AP

A player who was expected to be a part of Wisconsin’s 2014 recruiting class is facing some very serious accusations that could keep him off the playing field and behind bars for an extended period of time.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported Monday that Dominic Cizauskas has been charged with felony third-degree sexual assault.  The Mukwonago High School posted a $500 signature bond and released.

One of the conditions of the release is that he is barred from the UW campus.  He’s also not permitted to have any contact with the alleged victim.

The alleged sexual assault took place on the UW campus in mid-December during the linebacker’s official visit to the school.  The Journal-Sentinel revealed some of the details contained in the criminal complaint against Cizauskas:

The alleged incident occurred early in the morning Dec. 14 in a UW residence hall, while Cizauskas was on the UW campus. The alleged victim, a UW student, and Cizauskas exchanged text messages on the night of Dec. 13.

Later, while studying in her room, the student heard someone in the hallway asking directions to her room, and the complaint says Cizauskas then opened the unlocked door and entered the room.

The woman told police she suspected Cizauskas had been drinking because of the smell of his breath. Cizauskas told her he consumed 10 shots within a span of 30 minutes.

The complaint says Cizauskas eventually forced the woman to have intercourse, and she told police the sex was not consensual.

“I tried to push him off me but he is a 200-pound football player,” the complaint quotes the woman as saying.

The alleged victim also acknowledged a previous sexual relationship with Cizauskas.

Cizauskas, a three-star player according to Rivals.com, verbally committed to the Badgers last June was not one of the players announced as part of UW’s recruiting class.  Per NCAA rules, head coach Gary Andersen or anyone connected to the football program are not permitted to discuss any player who hasn’t signed a National Letter of Intent.

If convicted of the charge, Cizauskas faces up to 10 years in prison.

He raped a student on his official visit to UW, commits to UW, and they accept his commitment? totally disgusting

but Packerbadger should be here any second to tell us how things like this only happen in the SEC.

The assault came to light AFTER he verbally committed and as soon as the program found out about it they no linger moved forward with a formal signing.

So yes, these things still only happen in the SEC. However, it appears reading and comprehension don’t.

They had a previous sexual relationship per her statement. Sounds like someone got dumped and wanted revenge if you ask me.

Wait, so when women get drunk and have sex with a sober guy they can cry rape but when men get drunk and have sex with a sober girl they still get hammered for rape?

    What the f***?

  6. pike573 says: Mar 17, 2014 6:50 PM

I see that one guy skipped over this one to post “SEC!” in an article about some teenagers with pot.

“So yes, these things still only happen in the SEC. However, it appears reading and comprehension don’t.”

Can you name an SEC recruit that has been charged with raping a student while he was on his official visit, If you can, throw it out there.

and as far as things like this only happening in the SEC goes, Jerry Sandusky and Joe Paterno say hello.

Ya cause the school told him to go rape a girl so it’s the schools fault, schools can only control who they recruit and what the recruit decides to do after midnight is the recruits fault morons

Oh Packerbadger where are you? This didn’t happen in “Alabumpkin” (as he likes to put it)so that piece of bigotted crap is no where to be found!…

  13. packerbadger says: Mar 18, 2014 8:59 AM

Its Wisconsin, get rid of him now! Its not the $ECheat conference with good ol boys Saban and company where they would pay off the local officials and find a way to keep him. To hardy and auburn, lol …..I own you bumpkins! Yes, it is Alabumpkin’!! Your conference owns the Local section day after day and you guy run around like a couple excited school girls because of one screw up. I bet this idiot is gone! Now, go back to your backwards part of the country and ask your brother or sister to prom!

  14. packerbadger says: Mar 18, 2014 9:09 AM

Btw, he’s a recruit, he’s not actually on the team yet like the vast majority of your players are! Oh, did you see the $ECheat player who was busted for drugs yesterday?

Um, its “you’re” idiot! Thanks for proving and reinforcing my point(s)! LMAO!!

Also in todays news: Auburn player enters under probation. That means he’s already been convicted; not charged like the Wisconsin recruit. Its a daily occurrence down there!

  16. dhardy8207 says: Mar 18, 2014 10:25 AM

    @packerbadger;

well well, you’ve crawled out of that hole of yours to spout off your bigotted comments just as usual. However, I see that problem of yours goes a bit beyond mere SEC hating but involves a bit of a problem with reading comprehension. So let me help you out with a few facts:

First, you couldn’t own a pair of my discarded shoes.

Second, your constant posting of bashing the SEC players as “ownging the Local section” they’re not alone:

“3/18/2014 — Georgia wide receiver Uriah LeMay, defensive back Tray Matthews, defensive lineman John Taylor (no relation) and defensive end James DeLoach charged with theft by deception.

3/17/2014 — Missouri cornerbackAarion Penton and safety Shaun Rupert charged with suspicion of possessing fewer than 35 grams of marijuana.

3/12/2014 — Washington State cornerback Daquawn Brown charged with felony second-degree assault and misdemeanor assault.

2/27/2014 — East Carolina wide receiver Danny Webster charged with driving while intoxicated.

2/26/2014 — Colorado defensive back Jeffery Hall charged with suspicion of second-degree assault of a police officer, resisting arrest, obstruction and possession of alcohol by a minor.

2/25/2014 — Louisville linebacker Sharieff Rhaheed-Muhammad charged with lewd and lascivious behavior involving a victim between the ages of 12 and 16.

2/24/2014 – Texas A&M defensive lineman Isaiah Golden charged with possession of marijuana, while Aggies linebacker Darian Claiborne was charged with disorderly conduct.

2/18/2014 — TCU wide receiver LaDarius Brown charged with marijuana possession.

2/18/2014 — Vanderbilt defensive line coach Vavae Tata charged with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.

Walmart food caper nets Wazzu player an arrest

Again don’t let facts get in your way but 4 out of the last 10 threads concerning “legal” inproprieties involve SEC players/coaches. The other 6 come involve other conferences. For one that “claims” to be a physician and well educated, you should be able to read an article and comprehend what you’re reading.

“Also in todays news: Auburn player enters under probation. That means he’s already been convicted; not charged like the Wisconsin recruit. Its a daily occurrence down there!”

Now if you had read the article on that youngster from Auburn, he’s on probation with the program/coach, not the law. If you had the ability to comprehend you would have also gleened that “the charges were dropped after he was arrested”…..

  17. packerbadger says: Mar 19, 2014 1:56 PM

BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! @ hardy! Should be named hardly. You tool. The charges were dropped because the good ol’ boy system/coach bailed him out of it. If he wasn’t a $ECheat player, he’d still be locked up. Get it? I don’t think your capable. $ECheat conference has by faaaaar the most arrests of all the college conferences. They also have the lowest academic standards of all the conferences. I’m guessing you’re a $ECheat “grad”. The lowest SAT/ACT scores are from…..you guessed it……the south!…esp the $ECheat states!! I see a couple more $ECheat players made the headlines today in the Local Section. Btw, I’m back home in civilization and lovin’ it!! I can put a coat on up here for the cold, but you just can’t fix that southern type of stupid!!

  18. dhardy8207 says: Mar 19, 2014 3:33 PM

@ Badger…For somone who likes to question another individual’s intellect especially those from the south, I have to wonder about yours. You are the worst type of bigot/idiot. You do nothing but slander people of the south but yet YOU MOVED HERE VOLUNTARILY!!!

GET IT?… naaa your not capable. Just because you keep spewing the same BS that basically amounts to ONLY your opinion, doesn’t make it true. It only shows that for someone who claims to be so intelligent and successful, your stupid ass not only moved here but stayed long enough to supposedly establish then sell a business.

Good riddance, glad to see you took the stank of the north’s finest back up that way!

In case your reading comprehension skills are under national standards (I have reason to suspect this), He is quoting the other guy, dumbass. Also, you missed the “to” being misspelled. One out of two though, 50%, kinda like what you probably got in spelling class.
