Texas A&M’s starting QB candidate arrested for public intoxication

One of the players most likely to succeed Johnny Manziel as Texas A&M’s starting quarterback, Kenny Hill, was arrested for public intoxication early Friday morning in College Station.

According to College Station newspaper The Eagle, citing College Station police reports, Hill was taken into custody by police in a parking lot just before 3 a.m. local time. He has already paid his bail and been released. As reported, Hill was found passed out in a planter filled with plants and rocks, which could not have been too comfortable. Police asked Hill who the president of the United States was, and he allegedly responded with “Bush.”

Perhaps Hill should be given a pass. George H.W. Bush was on Texas A&M’s campus yesterday checking out Manziel’s pro day workout. Perhaps the craziness was just too much.

Hill appeared in five games in relief last season for the Aggies. In that brief playing time, Hill completed 16 of 22 pass attempts for 183 yards and a touchdown. The quarterback competition at Texas A&M has options in finding the next starting quarterback. If the Aggies end up choosing to go with a player with more mobility in hopes of being able to run some f the same schemes Manziel led, Hill appeared to be the best candidate for the job. Where head coach Kevin Sumlin goes remains to be seen. how much of an impact this latest incident could have also remains to be seen.

If their handling of Johnny Headcase is any indication, Hill will be named the starter tomorrow.

To bad for him this is not a “football town” like Tallahassee, it would have been brushed under the rug. At lest he is not running around sexually assaulting chicks! In all seriousness though whom among us degree holders did not pass out at least once early in our college experiences.

Ok, I must cry “foul” on this statement. He must have an ATM sitting on ready to make bond that quickly… and in BAMA if you get stopped for DUI/DWI, it doesn’t matter if you have the cash for the bond on you, they still make you sit in there for 12 hours to sober up…

This kids got some connections already….

Damn you guys are obsessed with Manziel so much you bring him up in the comment section of an article that didn’t even have his name in it

LOL. Manziel’s name is in the article three times.

Maybe A&M fans have to see something four times before they can read it?

Getting drunk, when I was in college was a right of passage…What are they going to do? Take his scholarship away…This is so no news and no I’m not an Aggie follower.

Remember how upset people were that Johnny football had good seats to sporting events? Puts it all into perspective, doesn’t it?
