UCLA’s Torian White ‘no longer with the program’

Utah v UCLA Getty Images

Nearly five months after his arrest on a rather serious alleged offense, Torian White is no longer on UCLA’s roster.

Following practice Tuesday, head coach Jim Mora confirmed that the offensive lineman is “no longer with the program.”  The coach declined to go into any details of what’s taking on the appearance of a dismissal.

In mid-November last year, White was arrested for suspicion of sexual assault.  The arrest occurred around 3 a.m. local time today at an off-campus apartment complex after police officers responded to a disturbance.

No charges have been filed as of yet, and the case remains under investigation.

White has been indefinitely suspended from the team since his arrest.

After starting all 14 games as a redshirt freshman in 2012, White started the first five games in 2013 before suffering a broken ankle in early October.  The left tackle did not play again that season because of a combination of the injury and suspension.

Unfortunate for him that he’s been dismissed from the team, must be some pretty substantial evidence against him…

Mmmm, and he’s not an SEC player… amazing that this happens in every conference….
