As Florida State’s logo may or may not be undergoing a few tweaks, so is the throwing motion of the school’s Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback.
Jameis Winston isn’t a full participant in Florida State’s spring practice as he plays baseball for the ‘Noles. But he’s still getting some work in, specifically with his throwing mechanics. From ESPN.com’s Jared Shanker:
Coach Jimbo Fisher said, for all the good things Winston did last year, he still missed some throws and the goal of this mechanics tweak is to help him make those throws this fall. It’s easy to forget Winston was just a redshirt freshman last year, and it’s gotta be a positive sign for Florida State fans that Winston and his coaches are getting out in front of a necessary tweak now rather than waiting for the fall.
