Penn State lineman charged with assault

Penn State offensive lineman Anthony Alosi is facing some legal trouble. Alosi was charged for simple assault, conspiracy to commit simple assault and harassment following his involvement in an ugly January incident.

Police say Alosi kicked a man in the head. That victim was sent to the hospital for an injured eye and multiple abrasions and contusions, according to a report by The Patriot News. Alosi claimed he was attacked for no reason and claimed the other man initiated the fight. Witnesses interviewed by police investigating the incident all claim Alosi and another man started the fight.

Alosi has a hearing scheduled for April 23. His status with the football team at this time is unknown, although it is expected he should be suspended indefinitely at the very least until the legal process is completed.
