Boise State RB Baltazar transfers to Wazzu

Chris Petersen and a handful of assistants moved from Boise State to the state of Washington this offseason to take over the Huskies football program.  Another individual with Broncos ties has now moved on to the same state as well, albeit a couple of hundred miles to the east.

Washington State confirmed recent speculation regarding Aaron Baltazar, with the school announcing in a press release that the running back has signed a financial aid agreement to play for the Cougars.  That play won’t occur until 2015, however, as Baltazar will have to sit out the 2014 season to satisfy NCAA transfer rules.

The back will have three seasons of eligibility remaining beginning in 2015.

As a true freshman last season, Baltazar was second on the Broncos in rushing before suffering a torn ACL the fifth game of the year.  Suffice to say, he didn’t play again in 2013.

Can you blame him??? He can go to Washington State and be in a big boy conference or he can stay a school that plays a high school schedule on a joke of a blue field in a terrible conference.
