LSU defensive lineman Herron arrested for stealing a bicycle

NCAA Football - Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl - Miami vs LSU - December 30, 2005

LSU defensive lineman Frank Herron was arrested Monday for stealing a bicycle. The 19-year old redshirt freshman was charged with a misdemeanor summons and released by campus police, although an investigation is now ongoing according to The Times Picayune.

According to the report, the bicycle was reported stolen last week on LSU’s campus. The victim reported campus police Monday he saw someone riding what looked to be the missing bike. As police opened the investigation, Herron admitted to stealing the bike and was taken into custody Monday afternoon. He was charged with a¬†misdemeanor because the total value of the bicycle was below $500. Anything over $500 would have resulted in a felony charge.

Herron’s status with the team is currently unconfirmed. There has been no statement released by the school or head coach Les Miles at this time.

Herron was redshirted in 2013.

But really, the real story here is that Herron has to play Florida every year, in a miscarriage of justice.

We had an AA RB who stole his dorm neighbor’s stereo, and got caught when the policeman who came to take the report went next door to his room to ask him to turn down his music.

If schools were allowed to pay their athletes, then these angels wouldn’t have to resort to criminal activity for life’s necessities…like bikes, xboxes, tattoos, weed, guns & Air Jordans.

You can pay the college athletes…you think that’s going to stop these morons from committing crimes? Sorry but these guys were stealing and assaulting before they got to college and they will long after. Don’t be ignorant.
