A sad and tragic story from earlier in the week has seen a development that will at least give the family and friends of a murdered loved one some solace.

The Greensboro (NC) police department announced Thursday that two men had been arrested that morning and charged in the fatal shooting of North Carolina A&T football player Jermane Clark.  Police stated that 22-year-old Kendrick Louis Robinson and 20-year-old Lemiah Wyatt Sanders Jr. were charged with one count each of first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

What led to the fatal shooting in front of Clark’s residence remains unclear and under investigation. From the Associated Press:

Capt. Mike Richey says it appeared Clark was approached by one or more people and an argument started and he was shot in front of his home in Greensboro. Police don’t know what sparked the argument and have not determined a motive.

Following the shooting late Tuesday night, Clark was rushed by ambulance to a local hospital, where he died a short time later.  He was 22 years old.

Clark, who began his collegiate career at Colorado, played in six games for A&T last season. The young man had worked himself out of “a rough situation” early on in his life and had appeared to turn things around, adding to the grief and agony of those that knew him.

“That’s what sad, ” Clark’s high school coach, Mike Propst, said. “This is a guy who had a hard road, had straightened himself out. He learned his lessons and had done well. It’s real sad.”

This is heartbreaking, so many young people don’t realize the value of life. Its become entirely too easy to pull a gun and end someone’s life without a thought of how it will affect their own.

My thoughts and prayers are with this family and the university family… God Bless
