Georgia Tech LB, running back ruled ineligible for 2014 season

Georgia Tech linebacker Jabari Hunt-Days and running back Travis Custis have been ruled ineligible for the 2014 season, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Hunt-Days was ruled ineligible for “failing to meet the NCAA’s eligibility standards,” according to the AJC, while Custis’ ineligibility is related to academics.

Hunt-Days was expected to be a significant player for the Yellow Jackets on defense after moving from defensive end to linebacker this spring. He played in all 13 games for Georgia Tech last fall, starting seven times, with 45 tackles, seven tackles for a loss and two sacks.

Custis had his enrollment at Georgia Tech delayed last fall due to academics, and will transfer to Georgia Military college for the upcoming season and play football there. He could return to Georgia Tech and have three seasons of eligibility left if he gets his academics in order.
