NFL Draft: Could potential suspension in Cleveland open door for one more receiver tonight?

Not even 24 hours since drafting the most electric jolt in franchise history, Johnny Manziel, the Cleveland Browns are facing the possibility of losing Josh Gordon for the entire 20124 season due to a potential failed drug test.

Odds are the Browns knew this suspension was coming, which makes the approach to the first round a little more interesting. Would a similar suspension have caused any other team to go for a wide receiver in the first round, even if it is considered a reach? Whatever the case, it should be a good night to be a wide receiver entering the draft tonight, and there are some good options still on the board.

USC’s Marqise Lee, Indiana’s Cody Lattimer, Boise State’s Demarcus Lawrence, and Penn State’s Allen Robinson could all be among those receivers hearing their names tonight as the second and third rounds of the draft are conducted in New York City. After the first round saw a heavy influence on defensive backs or safeties, tonight coudl focus on their future opposition on the other side of the football.

Now, Cleveland could be one more team in need of a top wide receiver out of college that could potentially become Manziel’s future number one target.
