Just a reminder there are 109 days until college football starts

The bowl season is already a distant memory. The spring football calendar has already wrapped up and now the last big event on the offseason calendar, the NFL Draft, has been put in the books. So, what now?

There are 109 days until the start of a brand new college football season, and for some fans of the lower levels of football the wait may be even shorter. Hang in there, because the time is going to fly by faster than you might realize.

There will be some dates to keep eyes on along the way of course. On July 1 the latest changes in the realignment saga will be made official. Rutgers and Maryland will join the Big Ten. Louisville will join the ACC. The American Athletic Conference will welcome some new programs to the fold, as will Conference USA and the Sun Belt Conference. Soon after that the conference media day tours will begin, offering coaches and top players a chance to meet with the media and share their takes on any range of topics.

Once we get through the weeks of media day events the days to training camps opening will not be far behind. In the meantime, you can kill some time watching postseason basketball or hockey and regular season baseball. Hang in there. College football is coming.
