Finally, common sense has prevailed and the NCAA is (gasp!) actually doing the right thing.
Yesterday it was reported that, because of archaic bylaws, Boise State could not provide assistance to Antoine Turner, a Broncos defensive tackle who is essentially homeless when not enrolled in classes. the university appealed to the NCAA for a waiver that would allow them to, ya know, be human beings and assist Turner with his situation.
Wednesday afternoon, The Association took to Twitter to announce its decision.
After Boise State's request last night, the school may provide immediate assistance to football student-athlete Antoine Turner.

Blind squirrel, here’s your nut.
While the NCAA deserves a pat on the back -- even as it was a no-brainer -- for the decision, it’s a sad state of affairs when the public in general is surprised when The Association does the decent, honorable thing.
