WKU LB Nick Holt arrested on alcohol-related charges

Nick Holt

It appears that Nick Holt will, at least for the time being, take up residence in a couple of doghouses in the same football building.

The Park City Daily News is reporting that the Western Kentucky linebacker was arrested early Wednesday morning and slapped with multiple charges.  Those charges include alcohol intoxication in a public place, resisting arrest and second-degree disorderly conduct.

No details of what led to the arrest and charges have been released.

It’s unclear what if any punishment Holt, the son of WKU defensive coordinator Nick Holt (pictured), will be facing from the football program.

After transferring to the Hilltoppers from the JUCO ranks, Holt starred in WKU’s spring game this past April. Exiting spring practice, Holt had taken on the look of a starter for his dad’s defense.

This is embarrasing for any parent, but when your dad is one of your coaches, its really embarrasing….

C’mon, it’s not like it was first-degree disorderly conduct. Move along, nothing to see here.

Losing Andrew Jackson we need strength at the Linebacker position. This is no way for us to start our first season in Conference USA
