After taking the spring off to get his academic house in order, Ivan Foy (pictured, No. 72) is set to get back to work.
Syracuse head coach Scott Shafer confirmed to the Syracuse Post-Standard Monday that the offensive lineman has been reinstated to the football program. Foy was suspended for academic reasons and did not participate in spring practice earlier this year.
With summer workouts set to commence in short order, Foy will have the opportunity to knock off some of the rust before the start of summer camp.
As a junior last season, Foy started all 13 games at right tackle for the Orange. All told, Foy has started 17 games of the 19 games in which he’s played.
