Buckeye LB one of two dozen popped for underage imbibing

Craig Fada

Oh those wacky college kids and their school spirit. Or spirits, in this case.

According to, the NBC affiliate in Columbus, Ohio State linebacker Craig Fada was one of 24 people arrested and charged with underage consumption this past Saturday. Delaware County (Ohio) Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a residence that was the scene of a “loud and wild” party that apparently featured “fireworks and yelling.”

The owners of the home, according to FOX28 in Columbus, just happened to be Fada’s parents, who weren’t home at the time.

Sheriff’s deputes also confiscated a baggie of what’s believed to be marijuana. Whose bag it was isn’t known.

Fada, who played his high school football in Columbus, walked on to the Buckeyes in 2012 and didn’t see any action that season. In 2013, Fada played almost exclusively on special teams and saw action in 12 games.

I am sure that Urban Meyer will enact strong sanctions against him and make it clear that behavior is not acceptable – for a walk-on player. If it was Braxton Miller, he would learn his lesson in time for the next practice.

Never heard of him. Don’t scare me with these headlines.

dietrich – Right, you mean like how he didn’t do anything to Carlos Hyde… oh wait he suspended him multiple games even though he wasn’t charged with a crime. Your act is getting old.

I think now’s as good a time as any to inform our new readers and remind our old ones that, one, I think the drinking age should be lowered to 18 and, b, weed should be legalized in every state and at the federal level.

Thank you for your time. Carry on…

Carlos Hyde was suspended 3 games…for hitting a female who I’ve heard multiple buckeye fans claim “probably deserved it”. He then made his season debut against another top opponent in Florida A&M to which he was greeted by a standing ovation. I was in attendance for that one. Think I was the only one in the shoe not standing and cheering. Classy Columbus.

A college athlete drinking underage and possibly smoking weed? I hope they do the right thing and crush any potential football career he could have had and throw this monster in jail for life!

  16. handsofsweed says: May 22, 2014 7:08 PM

Nope, mediocre Bob. You made that all up. He did NOT hit a woman. The Cols PD proves you wrong on that one, liar.

Furthermore, you know GD well that you didn’t hear any Buckeye fan said “she probably deserved it.” You also most likely lie when you say you were at that FAMU game.

So basically the only things that weren’t lies were that Hyde was suspended for 3 games and that OSU played FAMU in Hyde’s 2013 debut.

    You suck, liar.

    Lmfao!! Well said!!

  18. mediocrebob says: May 22, 2014 10:26 PM

Wrong. Video was leaked. I watched it with my own eyes. Might not have been an uppercut but he put his hands on a female. Call it what you want hands. Where I’m from, you don’t do what he did. (And then get a standing O)

  19. mediocrebob says: May 22, 2014 10:26 PM

And people on this website said that she probably deserved it. Multiple times.

    Thanks for playing.

Its obvious Ohio State can’t really control their athletes. Not that they’re necessarily the worst in college sports, but their graduation rates for student athletes in the B1G Ten are pretty mediocre compared to the best B1G Ten schools. Tressel’s career was brought down by Terrelle Pryor and his buddies and “Tattoogate.” That should have been a wake up call. If I was Urban Meyer, I’d basically be saying, “Screw-up and you’re done, depending on seriousness of the offense. I won’t have any immature BS on my football team. This university gave you a scholarship and is providing you with an opportunity to be an NFL player at the other end if you work this opportunity properly. So grow-up, man-up, act mature and do what’s expected of you. Or I’ll blow you outta here in a heartbeat!” If Meyer had the integrity to do that, Ohio state could easily clean-up its program quickly. And NOT continually have the problems that their rationalizing “culture of football” is causing them at Ohio State.
