Idaho now on fifth OL coach in five years

Idaho just cannot seem to keep an offensive line coach for very long. For the fifth straight season the Vandals will hire a new offensive line coach after losing Jon Carvin. The reason for Carvin leaving the program has not been reported at this time. The Spokesman-Review was the first to report the coaching staff shakeup at Idaho.

Idaho has already filled the offensive line coaching position by giving offensive coordinator Kris Cinkovich the extra responsibility. To make that possible, Cinkovich will give up his duties coaching the wide receivers, according to CoachingSearch.com. This leaves a vacancy still to fill on the Idaho coaching staff and head coach Paul Petrino is looking for applicants to be considered for the position of receivers coach.

Carvin is the second assistant coach to leave Idaho this offseason. Cornerbacks coach Mike Mickens previously left the program.
