Watch Jameis Winston complete a pass to himself

Jameis Winston

Florida State will have to look to replace Kelvin Benjamin in the receiving game, but perhaps Jameis Winston will find a way to throw a couple passes his own way in 2014 as Florida State looks to make a run at a defending its national championship.

It never fails. Every offseason there is some new trick being played out by football players, and it quickly becomes a trend spreading like a wildfire in the social world we live in online. The latest trend appears to be players tossing passes to themselves.

A few of these videos have popped up recently, and now Winston is getting in on the fun. In a video shared on his Instagram account, Winston tosses a ball up in the air and then takes off down an open field and catches it before it falls to the ground. It is a quality display of arm strength and speed, if nothing else.

If Publix had an open skylight they would have their entire crab stock taken in one pass.

  2. dietrich43 says: Jun 4, 2014 7:57 PM

That’s nothing. His ability to avoid felony charges is amazing!

  3. udub says: Jun 4, 2014 9:42 PM

That’s honestly not that impressive. Any QB with mobility could do just that.

He doesn’t run very far. All you have to do is throw the ball high enough.

    JaMarcus Winston…get used to it

What now, Mrs. Brady? Who do you blame for the errant pass thrown by your husband in the Super Bowl?

Four out of five comments are straight trolling, what a surprise.

When you’re on top there’s nothing anyone below can do but complain…

    – no proof, nothing showed up in toxicology, girl had wildly differing accounts, and witnesses= no arrest.

    Move on trolls.

Most of us stopped pulling this stunt when we outgrew Nerf footballs.

dietrich43…I love when people don’t know the difference between felonies and misdemeanors. There has only been one felony he was accused of.

  10. cougar2424 says: Jun 5, 2014 12:01 PM

…And this is supposed to be impressive? A 20 yard pass to himself? I used to do that when I was 8.

    @cougar,

Yeah, but did you have your hat on backwards?

What case are you talking about. I think people are talking about stealing from Publix, stealing from Burger King, telling the manager he doesn’t care if she calls the police, shooting out $1300.00 worth of windows, which by the way answers another post in this thread about felonies, and having a girl that needed to have “counseling” after sex with Winston.

Gee, I wonder if she saw how the other girl was treated by the FSU “family”, school, community and local police! No wonder she doesn’t want to call it rape.

But carry on with your support of that fine young, citizen model of an adult.

Hey Listen I’m all for Hernandez going to jail for life.

But, since obviously think Florida and Meyer played criminals and ran a rogue program, than thanks a lot for agreeing with me that Winston is one too. I wholeheartedly agree with you, he is!

Question: Since you don’t like to see criminals get away with things and be allowed to play college football, I can only assume that you are a leading advocate to have FSU release Winston and have contacted the school and made your feelings known.

  18. Love and Warrick Dunn says: Jun 5, 2014 10:31 PM

If you actually read the entire 248 page investigation, and still somehow think he committed rape, well, more power to you.

I did in fact read, and I don’t think he raped her. I look forward to her being deposed if she tries to go the civil court route.

As for the other stuff, yes, he did some sophomoric things. Stupid, in fact. Immature, entitled athlete, absolutely. And your right, he drank soda out of a ketchup cup (the horror!). Yes, he had a BB gun was with some friends. I’m also pretty sure you can see moronic freshman non athletes, even, doing this on campuses country wide.

I can’t tell you how ridiculous the crab leg things appears.

But, I’m sorry, a one man violent crime wave, he is not. If you are trying to compare Hernandez, even when he was in Gainesville, to Winston’s immaturity, then take the orange and blue glasses off.

We don’t want to even compare the Urban Meyer player arrest list one by one to soda in ketchup cups and more petty, while still lawless actions.. But, we can.

I noticed that criminal Erving Walker wasn’t kicked off Donovan’s squad after stealing food, either. I hope you were picketing those games this season?

Yeah shooting out $1300.00 worth of windows AND having a girl seek counseling after sex ALONG with all the other incidents.

Sophomoric things indeed! No red flags here!!

grasping at straws much? He along with tons of other people were interviewed about a bb gun incident because he lived where it happened, there’s absolutely not 1 shred of evidence anywhere that he did it. No one ever accused him of it(other than 1 gator troll).

    How about getting a life?

  21. Love and Warrick Dunn says: Jun 6, 2014 8:36 AM

    @gatorfan

Shooting what? BB guns. A BB gun war with friends. Plural. Meaning we don’t know if and how many windows he may have hit. There were other people involved. Maybe the other kids it. Maybe he hit a few $100 windows. Reality? You don’t know. Immature, but, not malicious. Was there any moral turpitude involved? Is this the first time kids in college hit some windows with BB guns?

Did the other girl say he committed a crime? Ever? This was before the other incident came to light (which incidentally got leaked the exact day after they became #1 and he became the Heisman frontrunner, interesting timing). She had every opportunity to accuse him of a crime. She didn’t.

Whatever he did (hit it and quit it? That’s NEVER happened in college), it could not have been worse than texting his gf, “Time to Die, B**ch, like Chris Rainey. That, in fact, IS a crime. Girlfriend beating Avery Atkins approved of his text. So did Ronnie Wilson’s AK-47.

So, by all means keeping feigning moral indignation in your glass house.

  22. gatorfan1 says: Jun 6, 2014 11:37 AM

    For the last two posts:

Do some research. The apt complex wanted to evict Winston over the windows and the school intervened with the complex and made sure Winston helped pay for the damages. When the apt manager was recently interviewed, first he said he wasn’t there, then when he was confronted that he was, he mysteriously said he doesn’t remember incident.

    Love and Warrick Dunn says:

Most Gator fans hate Meyer for what he did while at Florida and the people he recruited, even with 2 NC’s.

Your school for years looked the other way under Bowden AND only wanted him gone AFTER he couldn’t win anymore.

You’re not the U of F and never will be. Florida will always be the flagship education institute of Florida. You can win 30 NC’s and you still will never be anything but # 2. Nothing will ever change that!

  23. Love and Warrick Dunn says: Jun 6, 2014 1:00 PM

    LOL

So, you’re saying Winston may have been PARTLY responsible for some broken windows? What a hardcore felon!!

I’m 41. Since I was born, FSU is up one in the series. Of course they struggled at first. Imagine if Gulf Coast started playing USF, it would take some time to compete.

Want to compare Free Shoes to all the 100k car that tank black bought your players? There’s actual deposition testimony on it. We can go back as far you want. Charlie Pell???

UF never wanted Meyer gone until he ditched your arses, then you got bitter when you realized he’s a used car salesmen who left the cupboard empty.

I’m proud that FSU is 50 years behind in program building, has less alumni, less $, and STILL manages to trade blows with mighty UF of the SEC (who never managed to even win a conference title until the 90’s).

Oh, UF is the Harvard of the South, right? That old gag is broken, but, keep on believing it. When all else fails, cling to the lame “Flagship” title.

It’s great to be a 4 and 8er. And stop kidding yourself, we don’t want to be UF, we can beat Georgia Southern just fine, right now.

    Thanks for the laugh.

  24. gatorfan1 says: Jun 6, 2014 2:21 PM

That’s good! Even lesser schools like FSU need ardent fans. Great to be # 2, say it’s great to be # 2.

  25. Love and Warrick Dunn says: Jun 6, 2014 2:32 PM

You’re right, UF is #1 in false bravado.

It was a pleasure shutting you up with facts so badly that you have absolutely nothing left to retort.

  26. gatorfan1 says: Jun 6, 2014 3:56 PM

    Proverbs 24:4

When arguing with fools, don’t answer their foolish arguments, or you will become as foolish as they are.

  27. Love and Warrick Dunn says: Jun 6, 2014 4:21 PM

Finally a smart choice! It’s best to stick to praying, when you know so few facts about your own team.

What does the Bible say about your own players blocking each other, while you lose to a Division II school that lost to Wofford, among others?

I hope this has been educational for you. Crack open a book sometime (besides the fairy tales), it might help you not look so idiotic when you open up your trap.
