Mike Florio talks about Jameis Winston staying in school (video)

Jameis Winston

On Wednesday we caught wind of quotes from the father of Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston saying his son plans to play two more seasons in Tallahassee before making a move to the NFL. Fair enough. Winston has said that before, and head coach Jimbo Fisher has said he expects Winston to stick around beyond 2015 as well. There really was nothing new to be learned as far as this story is concerned, but anytime someone brings up the idea of one of the top college football players in the country leaving for the NFL or staying longer, it is a talking point.

Our friends over at Pro Football Talk are obviously keeping a close eye on Winston and his future. This led the big man, Mike Florio, to share his take on Winston’s future.

Florio sounds increasingly like the angry elf in Santa’s workshop.

So painful listening to Mike Florio. Unfortunately NBC has aided in keeping him chirping for years to come. My only surprise is he didn’t throw in anything about the redskins name.

It hurts me to say this about one of my favorite noles but im sure hes staying at school longer to try and avoid a civil suit. Works for me, I just hope he learned a valuable lesson.

I don’t like the way Mike Florio said it, but he’s right.

Mike Florio asks: “Where are the people in his life that are steering him in the right direction?”

Winston’s father: “We want to make sure he gets that degree.”

Sad statement when a desire to get a degree is seen as him not being steered in the right direction.

Sooner he goes to the nfl the better, at least he could buy crab legs instead of stealing them.

No thats not the lesson. Im sure youre one of the @$$ clowns that didn’t look at things like evidence and reports. The lesson is watch where youre sticking that thing because you are a gold digger magnet.

Florio is an idiot. Plain and simple. Makes me wonder how he even has a job. He’s hands-down the most useless ‘analyst’ in the media. This guy is beyond stupid.
