Jim Delany’s choice cuts from the O’Bannon lawsuit witness stand

The Ed O’Bannon antitrust trial continued on Friday with two big name witnesses taking the stand. NCAA president Mark Emmert made his second appearance in as many days on the witness stand before giving way to Big Ten commissioner Jim Delany. Where Emmert was able to deflect some questions and potential blame on the conferences, Delany was tasked with addressing questions about revenue shares and a conference’s role in the evolving landscape of collegiate athletics. He was up to the task, although he had some puzzling statements at times, including the illusion of the downfall of the Rose Bowl.

Some of the choice cuts from Delany’s time as a witness are captured in this Storify compilation below with some updates from various members of the media in the courtroom.
