Ex-Duck Oshay Dunmore steps down to FCS level

As it turns out, the departures of linebackers Oshay Dunmore and Tyrell Robinson from Oregon weren’t simple transfers at all. One-half of that tandem, however, has already landed on his feet.

The Oregonian reported that both players were actually dismissed from the football program by head coach Mark Helfrich. Other than the standard “violation of team rules,” no reason for the twin dismissals were given.

June 10 it was reported that Robinson was set to leave the school. Eight days later, Dunmore’s departure went public.

While Robinson has yet to find a new home, his former teammate has. In a posting made to a social media website, Dunmore revealed that he is transferring to FCS-level Illinois State.

Dunmore was a three-star member of Oregon’s 2012 recruiting class, rated as the No. 4 player at any position in the state of Oregon. After redshirting as a true freshman, Dunmore played in 10 games in 2013.
