Auburn fans roll Toomer’s Corner in honor of Philip Lutzenkirchen

Auburn fans are known to gather at Toomer’s Corner to celebrate Auburn football victories, but the popular spot is also a gathering spot for more somber occasions as well. Such is the case today as Auburn fans mourn the death of former tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen. Lutzenkirchen died in an automobile accident early Sunday morning.

To pay honor to the former Auburn player, one admired by many on and off the field during his collegiate career, Tiger fans paid their respects the way Auburn fans are accustomed to by throwing toilet paper on the trees at Toomer’s Corner. This is something that is beautifully captured on Twitter.
