Louisville to “Black Out” ACC debut against Miami

Bobby Petrino

Don’t worry Louisville fans, it’s not that kind of black-out. Louisville plans to wear an all-black alternate uniform for its first game in the ACC this fall. The uniforms were unveiled Tuesday night during a special event to celebrate Louisville’s new conference affiliation with the ACC, which became official yesterday. Head coach Bobby Petrino announced the new uniforms will be worn when the Cardinals host the Miami Hurricanes on Monday, September 1 in primetime before a national television audience on ESPN.

The uniforms are interesting, to say the least, but there is something unsettling about Louisville suiting up looking more like Cincinnati for the first game in program history in the ACC. But then again, if the players like the uniforms, and the recruits take notice, isn’t that the ultimate endgame anyway?

Those uniforms will match the black eyes Miami gives them.
