Report: Dorial Green-Beckham is visiting Oklahoma today

SEC Championship Football AP

According to SoonerScoop’s Carey Murdock ($), former Mizzou wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham is in Norman and meeting with Oklahoma’s coaching staff on Thursday.

This isn’t exactly coming out of left field since Green-Beckham was linked to Oklahoma last month.

While Green-Beckham wasn’t charged with a crime he was investigated for a burglary in which he allegedly shoved a woman down several stairs and injured his girlfriend at a Columbia off-campus housing complex. A few days later, Green-Beckham — who also had two pot-related arrests while at Mizzou — was kicked off the team.

Formerly the nation’s No. 1 recruit, Green-Beckham broke out in 2013 for 59 catches, 883 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was flat-out unstoppable against Auburn in the SEC Championship, catching six passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns.

Green-Beckham’s been previously linked to FCS-level Eastern Illinois, though that didn’t go anywhere. There was a report in late May that Green-Beckham could sit out 2014 and enter the 2015 NFL Draft, too.

If Green-Beckham does ultimately wind up in Norman he’d almost certainly have to sit out a year due to the NCAA’s transfer rules and make his Sooner debut in 2015.

UPDATE: If Green-Beckham indeed is visiting with OU coaches, Bob Stoops isn’t one of them (but he could be meeting with co-offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach Jay Norvell after all).

Update II: Both Jason Kersey and Bruce Feldman have confirmed Green-Beckham is indeed on campus at Oklahoma today.

Damn. If he’s coming to Norman, he’s not leaving. BOOMER!

If the story is true about shoving a woman down some stairs, I don’t like the move as much. The weed things doesn’t bother me

Win at all costs. Even if it means bringing a violent woman beater into your program. But let me guess “he has changed”. Yeah right.

As a lifelong fan of OU,I like to win as much as anyone but not at all costs. Keep this loser off the team and let him go play for Podunk St somewhere. Trouble follows people like that. Too many black flags with this guy .

He sounds like a great guy totally deserving of a second chance. Or third…or fourth?….oh what’s it matter, he can catch a football.

I dont watch the guy break into apartments or smoke pot or go to class or kiss his girlfriend, I just watch what he does on the field and if he’s a beast on Saturdays then lets do this thing!

He’s going to a winner! Now, let’s see if he can become one himself. If not he won’t stick around long. Coach Stoops gives second chances but when his confidence is betrayed they’re gone. It would be hard for me to count all of the losers superior talent kicked off OU’s team. Classy Program. Classy coach… There’s only ONE Oklahoma!!

Stoops and OK are disgusting for signing this guy. Wow desperation to win is sad!!!
Lost a ton of respect for Stoops and his program today, i know many guys get in trouble but if Mizz kicked him off the team more is there than being reported. a program with a sketchy past just became even more low!!!
