In comparison to some of the other “colorful” arrests in college football of late, this one may elicit more than its fair share of yawns.
Regardless, Boise State linebacker Mat Boesen, KTVB-TV is reporting, was arrested Thursday and slapped with a pair of misdemeanor charges. Specifically, Boesen was charged with inattentive or careless driving and resisting or obstructing officers.
No details of the incident that led to the charges have been released, and school officials won’t comment on the situation.
Boesen was a three-star member of the Broncos’ 2013 recruiting class. If he sees the field in 2014, it’s expected, barring injuries ahead of him on the depth chart, Boesen will mainly see action on special teams.
