For future Miss. St.-K-State series, ADs hash(tag) it out on Twitter

This is very, very likely a first: a future home-and-home series discussed very much in the public domain and agreed to on a social media website.

Friday afternoon, Mississippi State athletic director Scott Stricklin and his counterpart at Kansas State, John Currie, engaged in an absolutely fascinating Internet conversation. In a web video, the latter proposed a future Bulldogs-Wildcats (cats vs dogs) home-and-home series while the former sent out the initial dates: Manhattan for a 2016 game and a return trip to Starkville the following year.

Stricklin pointed out the video on his Twitter feed and, well, history ensued in the form of a live-tweet negotiation.

So, there you have. it. Save for the crossing of the t’s and dotting the i’s, Kansas State and Mississippi State have a future home-and-home date on their collective plates.
