Frosh Husker WR charged with pot possession, running from cops

Jariah Tolbert

And here I thought the good herb made you lazy and incapable of opening your eyelids fully let alone performing a physical act as taxing as running.

According to the Omaha World-Herald, though, Nebraska’s Jariah Tolbert was charged recently for an incident that occurred in the middle of last month. Per the World-Herald, the wide receiver was charged with possession of marijuana and obstructing a peace officer.

An arraignment on the charges is set for next week. From the paper:

Tolbert was cited and jailed after he ran from University of Nebraska-Lincoln police officers, according to a police report. Police reportedly received a call about someone smoking marijuana between two outdoor tennis courts near the intersections of 17th and Vine Streets.

It’s unknown what if any punishment the player may be facing from the football program.

Coming out of high school in New Orleans, Tolbert was a two-star member of the Cornhuskers’ 2014 recruiting class. He arrived on campus earlier this month.

Another non-student jock, whose only concern is to become a pro. Can he speak the ‘King’s English, and converse, without saying, “you know ?” Kick him out of school, and make him an example that colleges and universities will no longer tolerate jocks who diminish the role of student-athletes on campuses around the country.
His photo, makes him look like a gang-banger.

Probably why he’s a 2 star instead of 3 or 4 star WR!

The state of Nebraska needs to get on the Colorado bandwagon and decriminalize weed. It’s a huge waste of law enforcement’s time and a needless spot on an individual’s personal record. Having said that, poor judgment because it’s still against the law in Aksarben.

As for obstructing an officer, the definition has changed to include just about anything that makes the cop go ape guano and start beating and tasing the snot out of you.

Hey whoops you dipstick! Nebraska leads the nation in academic All-Americans, and Top Eight awards! They haven’t been on probation! You can save that award for the Ohio State “Buttnuts!”
I notice you didn’t name the community college that you probably attended!
