Utah State WR Ronald Butler lands DUI charge

Apparently, college football players are hellbent on enjoying their last couple of weeks of “freedom” before the start of summer camp.

The latest player to reset the “Days Without An Arrest” ticker back to double zeroes is Utah State wide receiver Ronald Butler, who the Cache Valley Daily reports was arrested Sunday morning following a traffic stop. Specifically, Butler was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane change.

The latter, of course, led to the traffic stop that ultimately led to the more serious charge.

Last season, Butler was tied for third on the team with three receiving touchdowns; fourth in receiving yards with 346; and fifth in receptions with 24. The senior played in 13 games last year, starting two games.

2013 marked his first season with the Aggies after transferring into the program from the JUCO ranks.
