Earlier this week we touched on how an Alabama fan hung an Alabama flag from Texas A&M’s Kyle Field, which is being upgraded over the next year and a half. That fan was reportedly fired. For hanging up a flag of a division rival of Texas A&M’s? Apparently not.
“This stadium will never be ready for this season,” Bobby Livingston, the fired Alabama fan responsible for the flag hanging, according to KBTX. “I’m putting iron in backwards and wrong holing everything!!”
He apparently did not stop there.
“If you ever attend a Texas A&M football game, don’t sit at the Northeast End Zone,” said Livingston. “It was raining today and I made 2 very “questionable” welds!!”
An inspector for the Kyle Field upgrade puts some concerns to rest with a statement saying a third-party firm has inspected, tested and verified different parts of the renovation project. To this point not structural damage or concerns have been discovered.
It is one thing to jokingly hang a flag of a rival from the football stadium. It is something else entirely to actually vandalize the stadium. Sometimes rivalry crosses a line that never needs to be crossed. Grown men vandalizing a stadium may just be one example. Faulty construction puts lives in danger, and that is worse than vandalism.
