As the day of ACL tears continues here at CFT, the Ohio State Buckeyes are the latest to be hit by the devastating injury.
Freshman linebacker Kyle Berger tweeted Monday he tore his ACL again. It’s the second time within a year Berger suffered the same injury. The four-star recruit missed all of his final season in high school after originally tearing the ligament during a scrimmage against Canton (Ohio) McKinley. The Buckeyes weren’t deterred and continued to recruit Berger.

Five months later, Ohio State’s vaunted freshman linebacker class is down to three options. Raekwon McMillan is expected to push for early playing time as one of the top freshmen in the country, while Dante Booker and Sam Hubbard are expected to be the team’s future at the position.
Berger, meanwhile, will be fitted for a medical redshirt, rehab and attempt to develop into the player Meyer was giddy about in March.
