Report: Investigation involving Oklahoma RB Mixon nearly ready to DA

Last week it was reported the investigation into Oklahoma freshman running back Joe Mixon would continue into this week. It has, and it may be coming to a close soon.

Mixon is being investigated for his role in an altercation that allegedly saw the Sooners running back punch a 20-year old woman, breaking four bones as a result. Oklahoma confirmed Mixon is not reporting for team activities this fall camp while the investigation is ongoing. According to a new report from The Oklahoman, police investigated the incident could be prepared to turn over the findings and testimony to the district attorney’s office.

Per The Oklahoman;

Norman Police were scheduled to interview the alleged victim Thursday as it continues to investigate the incident involving Oklahoma freshman running back Joe Mixon.

A Norman Police official said investigators were optimistic that the case would be turned over to Cleveland County District Attorney Greg Mashburn by the end of the week.


Mixon’s attorney continues to claim his client’s innocence.
