Morgan State confirms death of Marquese Meadow

Morgan State University confirmed the death of 18-year old defensive lineman Marquese Meadow Sunday.

Two weeks ago, Meadow was taken to the hospital after he collapsed during a workout.

“He became disoriented during practice and the trainer called paramedics who initially transported him to Good Samaritan Hospital and then to (Johns Hopkins Hospital),” Clinton Coleman, director of public relations and communications at Morgan State, told the Baltimore Sun.

Meadow, a Washington D.C. native, is survived by his parents, Benita and Kevin Meadow.

Prior to joining Morgan State, Marqueze Meadow was recruited by the Akron Zips, Eastern Michigan Eagles, Maryland Terrapins and Tennessee Volunteers. The defensive lineman was recruit to Maryland by Terrapins offensive coordinator Mike Locksley.
