Nick Saban names replacements for WR DeAndrew White

The Alabama Crimson Tide will be without the services of senior wide receiver DeAndrew White for at least a week or two due to a “little separated shoulder.”

In order to replace White, Alabama head coach Nick Saban will rely on three receivers to fill the void.

“On the WR rotation without DeAndrew White: Chris Black will see more time. ArDarius Stewert will also see some time and Christion Jones can slide over to play that spot,” Al.com‘s Michael Casagrande relayed during Nick Saban’s Wednesday press conference.

Prior to his injury, White had six receptions for 73 yards against the West Virginia Mountaineers. White and Amari Cooper were the only receivers on Alabama’s roster to have more than three receptions during the game. Black, Stewart and Jones combined to make four receptions.

Black, in particular, should see more playing time Saturday against the Florida Atlantic Owls.

Interesting Nick Saban said WR Chris Black “deserves” to play more than he has. With DeAndrew White out, he’ll get his shot.
