Tuesday, Maryland announced that it had extended its apparel deal with Under Armour through the 2023-24 school year. As part of the announcement, the Terps also unveiled a new uniform it will wear for Saturday’s non-conference game against West Virginia.
And, to say it’s a unique look wouldn’t do it justice. From the school’s press release announcing the new 10-year extension with Under Armour:
The words on the helmet and the jersey? Yep, those would be the lyrics to the “Star Spangled Banner,” as the school’s press release explains.
I’m not normally a fan of the gimmick uniforms that dot the college football landscape, but I have to admit that these are pretty damn cool. Well done, Maryland and Under Armour. Well done.
