No ifs, ands or Butt: Michigan TE suspended for one game

A month’s worth of tumult that continued this past week has bled into game day for the Michigan football program.

Shortly before the kickoff off their game against Indiana, the Wolverines announced that Jake Butt has been suspended for today’s Big Ten contest. The reason given wasn’t the standard “violation of team rules;" rather, it was for “violation of team standards.”

Butt had missed the first two games of the season as he continued to recover from a torn ACL he suffered back in February.

Despite that, Butt is still fourth on the team in receiving yards with 114 and fifth with 10 receptions. He was the Wolverines’ third-leading receiver last season.
