The Thrill is gone for two games; Texas A&M suspends Hill

So much for a quarterback competition at Texas A&M. After initially naming Kyle Allen its starting quarterback for today’s game against Louisiana-Monroe, Texas A&M has now stated quarterback Kenny Hill has been suspended for two games due to a violation of team rules.

Texas A&M just announced that Kenny Hill has been suspended for two games.

Suspension is “due to a violation of team rules and athletics department policies.” — Aggie Sports (@Aggie_Sports) November 1, 2014

Hill was placed back in a quarterback competition since Texas A&M’s last game, against Alabama. With the Aggies losing game after game, head coach Kevin Sumlin looked for any change he could make to change the path of the season. That started with the quarterback position, where Hill has been struggling to match the hype generated off a season opening victory at South Carolina.

Hill was already not going to start today, obviously, but now we know that it should be expected the Aggies start Allen next week as well as Texas A&M moves back into SEC play on the road at Auburn.
