Lil Jon stopped by Tennessee’s practice today

If you’ve been outside in the past six months, you’ve heard Lil Jon‘s “Turn Down for What.” And if you’ve come in contact with Tennessee football this fall, you’ve no doubt heard the Vols’ daisy orange adaptation, “Third Down for What.”

The anthem has helped Tennessee leap from 92nd to 25th nationally in third down defense, and built a bridge to one of the most powerful people in popular music.

Despite hailing from Atlanta and having no obvious connection to Tennessee football, Lil Jon has adopted the Vols “Third Down for What” as his own and become the world’s newest Vol fan.

The following exchange took place before the Florida game in early October.

Mr. Jon even recorded a hype message to be played on the Neyland Stadium jumbotron.

And now, Lil Jon has spent his Sunday as an honorary Volunteer, guest of head coach Butch Jones.
