To the surprise of few, Florida defensive end Dante Fowler appears to be heading to the NFL rather than return to the Gators in 2015 with a new head coach. On Tuesday Fowler posted on his Twitter page messages that suggest he will leave the program behind after this season, although this may not be an official statement.
Fowler appears to be referencing Florida head coach Will Muschamp, who took over the program when Fowler was recruited. Muschamp is coaching his final two games for the Gators after it was announced he will be let go at the end of the season. Muschamp decided not to coach Florida in any bowl game in the event the Gators go to a bowl game (they still need one more win to become eligible).
I came in with champ. I’m leaving with Him.

Fowler is considered to be among the top defensive ends in the country, so he may have been heading to the NFL anyway.
