Alabama, Oregon, TCU the top national title favorites in Vegas

With the final week of the college football season and conference championship week finally here, the experts in Las Vegas have updated the odds for the national championship. Alabama remains the heavy favorite with 5/4 odds to win the national championship. Oregon is the next top favorite at 5/2, followed by TCU at 4/1.

Defending national champion Florida State has been given just a 10/1 chance to win it all. The updated odds, as reported and shared by David Purdum;

Ohio State’s odds have become a little steeper with the loss of starting quarterback J.T. Barrett to a broken ankle, but the Buckeyes can still reach the four-team playoff with a good win over Wisconsin in the Big Ten championship game and perhaps a little help this week. Baylor, despite a head-to-head victory over TCU, continues to trail the Horned Frogs in the polls. Florida State continues to dodge losses and remains undefeated, but the Seminoles continue to flirt with disaster.

Missouri may not play for a national title even if the Tigers upset Alabama in the SEC Championship Game, but the thought of the SEC champion not playing in the playoff feels like a foreign concept to most, especially those in Vegas. If you are feeling a little more adventurous with your money, here are some longer shots that would result in a nicer payout...
