UAB made the decision to shut down its football program on Tuesday after the university’s leadership determined it was too costly to continue funding the program. UAB President Ray Watts addressed the football players in person to deliver the news and address concerns of the football players.
As expected, emotions ran high for the team, knowing their football program was being shut down.

You cannot help but feel awful for the players involved in this situation, especially after watching that video.
