Tennessee head coach Butch Jones revealed Sunday that tight end Daniel Helm and defensive end Dewayne Hendrix will not return to the Vols’ roster in 2015.

A true freshman out of Chatham, Ill., Helm played in all 12 games this season with two starts. He snagged six passes for 37 yards. Regarded as a four-star tight end out of high school, and all four major services rated Helm as a top 10 tight end nationally.
Hedrix, also a true freshman out of Illinois (O’Fallon), played in seven games this season and registered two tackles. He was also rated a four-star player and a top 20 defensive end by all four of the major recruiting outlets.
Tennessee will face Iowa in the TaxSlayer Bowl on Jan. 2 (3:20 p.m. ET, ESPN).
