Backup Duck DB Issac Dixon to transfer elsewhere

Yep, more FBS roster attrition.

The latest to watch as a player flees its football program is Oregon, with the school confirming Thursday that Issac Dixon (pictured, No. 5) has decided to take his leave of the Ducks. According to 247Sports.com, the defensive back is on track to graduate this spring and, thus, would be eligible to play immediately if he moves on to another FBS team.

Staying at the FBS level doesn’t appear to be on his radar at the moment, however, as the same recruiting website, citing the player’s Facebook page, reports that Dixon will be visiting FCS Portland State this weekend.

Dixon, a three-star member of the Ducks’ 2011 recruiting class, played in a total of 16 games the past three seasons after redshirting as a true freshman. Just two of those games played, though, came in 2014, which likely played a role in his decision to leave.
