The new Gators head coach was handed his first arrest earlier this month as wide receiver Chris Thompson was arrested and charged with simple battery, also known as “dating violence.” According to the police report, Thompson got into an argument with a former girlfriend after he received a text from another female and he scratched the woman’s arms and neck while attempting to retrieve his phone.
