Here’s another story Tim Beckman probably doesn’t want you to hear

The stories Illinois coach Tim Beckman does not want you to hear continue to pile up. Enter former Illini wide receiver Darius Milliness, who claims Beckman and the coaching staff made him feel like he was letting down his team when he left to visit his father battling cancer.

Milliness shared his story over a series of tweets on his Twitter account. Milliness says his father was not supposed to live to see the age of 50, so when he did celebrate his 50th birthday Milliness wanted to leave the team to join the celebration with his family. Judging by the timeline of Milliness, Beckman was not pleased about the situation.

My dad was diagnosed with cancer

He had me thinking as if I wasn’t a team player or even a part of the team — Darius ✈ Millines (@TruSoulja15) May 13, 2015

I’m not going to post the pictures of where he moved my locker after I violated team rules for the first time in 3 years

He made me feel as if I wasn’t even a part of the team any more — Darius ✈ Millines (@TruSoulja15) May 13, 2015

No but I shouldn’t be put in the downstairs bathroom/locker room for it. https://t.co/xmtCvzK8zF

Millines committed to Illinois in 2010 as a three-star prospect out of the state of Florida, when the Illini were coached by Ron Zook. Millines was suspended by Beckman in the spring of 2013 for what was only ever explained as a violation of team rules. Two months later Milliness was reportedly dismissed from the program. Millines wrapped up his college football career with D2 Colorado State-Pueblo. Millines still holds Illinois close to his heart, despite the alleged friction with current head coach Beckman.

I’m still an Illini till I die
