Bah humbug! Clemson dismisses DE Ebenezer Ogunkedo

Clemson has reduced its roster by one. Sophomore defensive end Ebenezer Ogundeko has been dismissed by the program, the school and head coach Dabo Swinney announced Tuesday. The specific details for the dismissal are facts known only behind closed doors, so we are left with the fairly routine violation of team rules and what Swinney describes as bad behavior.

“Ebenezer Ogundeko has been dismissed from the Clemson football team for a violation of team rules and behavior detrimental to our football team,” Swinney said in a released statement. “We wish him well.”

The sudden loss of Ogundeko is a significant one for Clemson. The former four-star recruit in Clemson’s Class of 2013 was expected to make a push for a role on the defensive line this fall.
