Stop asking Nick Saban about Kenyan Drake, because he’s annoyed by it

The college football season is still a little under a month away, yet it is already starting to become easier to come up with a list of things that do not annoy Alabama head coach Nick Saban than a list of things that do. The latest thing Saban is starting to have enough questions about? The health of running back Kenyan Drake.

He’s fine, thanks for asking.

Kenyan Drake is fine,” Saban said, per a report from Al.com on Friday. “How many times do I have to say that? I’ve been asked about Kenyan Drake since the first day of spring practice. He was full speed all spring. He was full speed all summer, and he’s full speed now. And I think he’ll be full speed next week, God willing, and nothing happens to him.”

Drake broke his leg last season in a game against Ole Miss. The gruesome injury ended his season before the second week of October, which has helped him get a jump on rehab in preparation for a return this fall. At SEC media days last month Drake said he is at 100 percent, and Saban’s increasing frustration with having to answer questions about his health should indicate there is nothing more to be learned about Drake’s progress.
